Vice President of University Relations

Brent LaVigne is a proud alumnus of SNU and serves as vice president for University Relations. In that role, he oversees the areas of University Advancement and Alumni Relations. He is also a member of the SNU Foundation Board. When time permits, he enjoys teaching in the SNU School of Business. He is a member of the University Cabinet.

Todd Brant - Todd Brant
Executive Director of University Advancement 

While Todd works to provide for the areas of endowments, planned gifts, and other aspects of giving, he thoroughly enjoys working on a great team through University Relations.  One of Todd's roles is to provide guidance of the bi-annual alumni magazine called the Direction Magazine.  He is married to his beautiful wife Julie who is also invested in the SNU community as a professor in the School of Education.  He has three children with his oldest currently attending SNU.  Todd enjoys getting to know people and hearing how their lives are changed by SNU.  If you see him around campus or on the road he will not be a stranger too long!

Michael Houston - Michael Houston Director of Advancement Strategy and the SNU FundMichael Houston 
Director of Advancement Strategy & the SNU Fund  

As the Director of Advancement Strategy and the SNU Fund, Michael provides leadership supporting the University Relations strategic initiatives, and campus and donor relations. In addition, Michael is charged with leading the fundraising for The SNU Fund, which is an annual giving fund allocated for student scholarships.  Michael is married to Tara and has two boys, Caleb and Nathan.  Michael loves spending time outdoors with family hiking, fishing, golfing, or pretty much any other outdoor activity.  Michael's life verse is, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." Philippians 4:8

Vanette works hard to keep the rest of the team in order and on time! Her youngest son is attending SNU currently. Vanette and her husband Mike can often be seen bicycling around Bethany and through the beautiful SNU campus. Michelle serves the University Relations team as the Advancement Services Director, with a deep desire to build and strengthen relationships across campus. Michelle and her husband Kent are proud parents of three daughters and three sons-in-law, all alum of SNU. When not at work, Michelle enjoys serving alongside Kent in church ministry on the SWOK District.

Tyler serves the University Relations team by assisting the Advancement Services Director in all areas of the gift entry process and various other projects, depending on what is happening on campus. She is a former student of SNU and is excited to return to this great university as an employee, as well as a student.
