Meet Lauren Force, a junior pursuing a degree in graphic design. Originally from Owasso, Oklahoma, Lauren grew up hearing about SNU from her parents, who both attended the university.
While SNU was always on her radar, the environment, graphic design department, and women’s soccer coach sealed the deal for Lauren when she toured and decided to attend. “Meeting Professor Eagle made me fall in love with the department. She is one of my favorite parts of coming to SNU!”
“I love the community at SNU. I’ve done a little bit of everything and try to get as involved as I can! Besides playing on the women’s soccer team, I am a part of SAC and am on SALT as a graphic designer. I have enjoyed every experience I’ve had at this school!”
“When I first came to the university, I was a little intimidated by other designers. I would look at their work and wonder how I would ever get to their level. Being a part of SALT and having mentors helped my creativity and design skills grow exponentially. It’s because of this that I can have incredible internships such as the one I have right now with an agency called Freestyle Creative.”
Lauren’s talent in graphic design speaks for itself. This spring, she won a bronze Addy award at the 10th District OKC ADDY Awards Gala. Her “Forever Green” botanical soap design won in the Integrated Brand Identity Campaign category. We are so proud of your incredible work and are cheering you on, Lauren! ❤️
